The Green Mesh was designed as a support structure for climbing plants, forming a green ceiling in a café located in Frankfurt am Main. The installation reflects the client’s commitment to nature and sustainability.
The mesh was developed using a digital form-finding method, which allowed the geometry to adapt to existing on-site elements such as columns, lighting fixtures, air conditioning units, and refrigerators. This process generated a precise map of all segment lengths, enabling accurate reproduction of the structure using a selected material with specific elastic properties.
